FGEF partners the international UNESCO Symposium on "Sourcing products locally", 9 - 11 June 2009 in Paris

This symposium on ”Sourcing products locally: a sustainable approach to support natural and cultural diversity in the South?” was organised at UNESCO in Paris from 9 to 11 June 2009, by the CIRAD, IRD, MAB/UNESCO and French National Museum of Natural History (MNHN). The event was supported by the FGEF, the Hermès Foundation, the FRB and IDDRI, and attended by 175 participants from North and South, working in different scientific disciplines or in national, international or non-governmental organisations. 35 contributions were presented during 3 parallel workshops.
