The FGEF is used:
to support practical undertakings in beneficiary countries,
to promote learning principles and test innovative or exemplary approaches,
on request from and under the responsibility of one of its 5 institutional partners in France,
as a minority cofinancing mechanism,
as an additional mechanism within the French public aid system, under Official Development Assistance accounts.
