Mangroves Initiative - Costa Rica Benin Project: 2019 Activity Report

The fourth activity report of the Costa Rica Benin project presents the 2019 activities at the sites in Costa Rica (Cuajiniquil, Terraba Sierpe, and Puntarenas) and Benin (Ouidah). Significant progress was made in the hydrological restoration of Cuajiniquil, Terraba Sierpe, and Ouidah, with the restoration of water circulation through the digging of an extensive network of channels, followed by the planting of mangrove seedlings. Several awareness-raising actions were carried out in schools and with local stakeholders, along with a major communication campaign in partnership with G.C. Decaux.
