Mangroves Initiative - Restoration of the Cuajiniquil and Terraba Sierpe Mangroves: Already Spectacular Results

These videos showcase the magnificent and impressive restoration work carried out in the Bahia Tomas mangrove (Cuajiniquil) and the Terraba Sierpe mangrove, together with the project teams and communities.

This video was made possible thanks to the support of María Marta Chavarría Díaz and Christopher Valle Alemán from SINAC, and the support of Luis Felipe Chavarría Díaz from the Dry Forest Conservation Fund of the Guanacaste Conservation Area.
> Video of the restoration of the southern wetland, Térraba-Sierpe: with Dennis Mora from SINAC, Claudia Agraz and Angela Chevez from Neotrópica. Plastic sheets are used to eliminate the mangrove fern by blocking light.
– Videos 2 and 3: the Terraba Sierpe site a few months later; the channels are working well and natural regeneration has begun, accompanied by large-scale reforestation.
