Phoenix Expedition is a sailing expedition with the ambition to contribute to the “regeneration of the ocean.”
Departing from Brittany in February 2022 towards California, the team meets, documents, and supports along the way projects for the restoration of coastal ecosystems (corals, mangroves, seagrass beds, oyster reefs, etc.).
In this context, the crew met María Marta Chavarria Diaz, coordinator of the Cuajiniquil restoration project, and spent time with her and some local women to discover the restoration site, its history, methods, and the success of this project in Costa Rica.
This meeting resulted in:
– A 15-minute episode on YouTube highlighting the Cuajiniquil project,
– A detailed blog article about the project to better understand the entire initiative.
