Protecting the World's Small Islands: A Collaborative Photography Exhibition at the Paris Zoological Park
Published on
The FFEM has joined forces with the Conservatoire du Littoral and numerous other international partners to create the exhibition “Small Islands: Pioneers of Sustainable Development” and raise public awareness about the protection of island territories. Forty small islands from all the world’s oceans are featured to highlight the innovative potential of these unique and fragile territories.
A traveling exhibition on best practices in island management
This collaborative exhibition features nearly 40 photographs illustrating best practices in island management. These 40 stories highlight men and women who work every day to preserve their island territories and maintain the delicate balance between nature and development.
Under the banner “Celebrate Islands 2016,” the exhibition was presented simultaneously in France (Paris), Spain (Alfas Del Pi), Mozambique (Maputo), Tunisia (Carthage), and Croatia (Zlarin). Translated into five different languages, this exhibition is set to come to life and travel from island to island across these various countries.
The exhibition is currently on view in Paris, with free admission at the Paris Zoological Park and the Porte Dorée Aquarium through the end of August.
