The 6 recommendations to strengthen support for the agroecological transition

The agroecological transition in rural areas addresses major challenges such as food security, climate change, and the sustainable management of land and natural resources, thereby contributing to more sustainable and equitable development.
For more than 20 years, AFD and FFEM have been support-ing public, private, and civil society initiatives promoting the agroecological transition. A cross-cutting evaluation of 129 projects carried out in 68 countries (2015–2024) highlights a wide diversity of contexts and approaches (...). It outlines six key recommendations for strengthening the impact of AFD-FFEM interventions and highlights the role of the FFEM in innovation, experimentation, and the dissemina-tion of promising pilot approaches.
