Strengthened by its fifth four-year replenishment cycle (2011-2014) with an amount of 95 million euros, the French Global Environment Facility (FFEM) started 2011, declared by the United Nations as "International Year of Forests", with a double mission: to continue playing a unique role within the French system of cooperation, i.e. supporting innovation and coordinating bilateral and multilateral aid, and preserves area of forest.
