Executive Summary - Capitalization on 10 years of experience of the Small-Scale Initiatives Program

This 80-page report presents the 10 years of action of the Small-Scale Initiatives Program financed by FFEM and implemented by IUCN France and IUCN PACO.

In 10 years, 144 civil society organizations (CSOs) have already received support from PPI. Some have gradually become major actors in their respective countries. They today take part in national commissions, conduct advocacy actions towards political leaders, share their expertise, etc.

Since 2006, PPI has allowed networks to be built and structured between actors on common themes or regions. These partnerships have sometimes extended internationally, leading to cooperation actions between civil society actors in the North and South. PPI is today the main French cooperation tool directly financing CSOs in countries in the South for specific conservation actions.
