India-Sundarbans
Run by the French NGO CARI (Centre for International Action and Realisations) and its partners (eight local NGOs, the Research Institute for Development, SupAgro (French agronomic graduate school) and the CIRAD (French agricultural research and international cooperation organisation)), and financed by the FFEM and the Global Environment Facility (GEF), the Avaclim project encourages the development of agroecology in arid regions.

A major study of agroecological initiatives has just been launched in seven countries, running from 2020 to 2022: Burkina Faso, Senegal, Morocco, Ethiopia, South Africa, Brazil and India. The objective is to promote such practices more effectively to the countries’ political bodies and to intergovernmental bodies such as funding partners.

The project now has a website.
