The Zembo project is helping to promote e-bike hire and sales to motorbike taxi drivers in Kampala, Uganda. These boda bodas are e-bikes with lithium batteries that can be recharged at solar-powered charging stations.
Especially useful during the coronavirus crisis, the electrically powered boda bodas can be used in Kampala without generating air pollution or CO2 emissions. This represents a source of revenue for their drivers and a contribution to healthier air and the fight against climate change.
