Evaluation summary of the Climate change education in Latin America project (ALEC)
Published on

Faced with the climate emergency, educating the young generations is a priority. The ALEC project – supported by the FFEM – addressed this challenge by strengthening climate change education in primary and secondary schools in Mexico and Colombia. By mobilising teachers, researchers and local institutions, it has enabled the creation of innovative educational resources and adapted training to realities on the ground. The impacts are concrete: students made aware, teachers engaged and communities involved. Led by the ECO, this pilot initiative shows the way for sustainable change, driven by education.
