Evaluation overview Project Forest and Landscape Restoration and Sustainable Land Management in the Sahel

Regarding the challenges of desertification in the Sahel, with repercussions on food security and livelihoods, the Forest and Landscape Restoration (FLR) and Sustainable Land Management (SLM) Project started in 2018. Part of the decentralization process underway in Burkina Faso and Niger, the project aimed to support six pilot communes in deploying forest and landscape restoration and socio-economic development activities.
The project took place in particularly fragile areas, marked by a significant deterioration in the security context.
