On August 9th, for International Day of the World4s Indigenous Peoples, the French Facility for Global Environment (FFEM) Highlights a project supported by the French Ministry of the Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty, in partnership with the NGO Conservation International. The project aims to ensure the long-term preservation of the Amazon rainforest, vital for global climate stability and the livelihoods of Indigenous peoples and local communities.

On June 7 and 8, 2024, San José will host the "Immersed in Change" international conference, a key event in the run-up to the United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC), scheduled to take place in Nice in 2025. Organized by the Costa Rican government, the conference will bring together policymakers, scientists, experts and international stakeholders.

On 16-18 May, a decade of commitment to biodiversity conservation in North Africa was celebrated in Agadir, Morocco. To mark this event, the International Union for Conservation of Nature has, through its Centre for Mediterranean Cooperation (IUCN Med) and other partners, organised the Regional Workshop for the Programme des Petites Initiatives (PPI) for North African Civil Society Organisations (OSCAN). This workshop brought 27 beneficiary organisations together with institutional and finance partners.
